It's been a few days, but don't think I haven't been productive!  There's a lot going on, including getting ready for my show in Fort Worth, The Funky Finds Spring Fling!  I can't wait, but there's still a lot to do!

I've been working on several pieces and here are some of the latest.

I'm on a roll!  I completed two canvases today!  I kinda love both of them.

This piece is on pages from H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds".  I am really digging the spiral text.  The spacing worked out pretty well.

This is the next piece in my "Alice in Wonderland" series.  This is my favorite text to work with.  It really lends itself to the imagination.  There have been so many interpretations of this book over the years, so it's very non-intimidating to work on.

After a crazy week last week I have finally gotten back into the swing of things.  I have several canvases ready for artwork.  I just needed a couple of detail pieces for them.  That's when these guys came out!

The earth graphic I designed for a "War of the Worlds" piece and the caterpillar is for a large "Alice in Wonderland" piece that I am doing.  I have a very large canvas to work on for my "show piece".

Day 1 of My Artistic Resolution

So, I am taking the advice of nearly every artist on the planet and attempting to do at least one piece of artwork everyday.  To motivate, I am beginning this project to share with everyone and, hopefully, encourage myself to work on my art as much as possible.

That bring said, we all know that we are our own worst critic, so I will start with my current observation that the coral in this painting looks like a cross between pizzas and pancakes.  Hmmm.  Maybe it's just the photograph.  Anyway, this is a painting I did on pages of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea".  The diving helmet was done with my Copic Sketch markers and the rest is acrylic paint additions.

Here's hoping that tomorrow will be just as, if not more, productive!
